Foundational Ethics

Public Health Courses (10 credit hours)

The public health certificate is for post-baccalaureate majors who wish to work in public health in a cross-cultural setting. These may include nurses, health care professionals or individuals in other professions desiring to meet healthcare needs in cross cultural settings. Completed coursework may be applied to the master’s degree-seeking pathway depending on grades received. 

  • NURS 5603 (3 hours)—Population-Based Health Promotion
  • NURS 5614 (3 hours)—Assessment of Communities
  • NURS 5623 (3 hour)—--Epidemiology
  • NURS 5471 (1 hours)—Advanced Nursing Practicum I
