FAQs

Q: What students may attend FAME?
A: FAME is for students who will enter college in the following Fall and who plan to seek a degree from the College of Fine Arts.

Q: Do I have to audition/or do a portfolio review if I attend?
A: No. Students are encouraged to schedule an audition/portfolio review but are not required to in order to attend FAME. If you plan to attend FAME, but do not wish to audition or submit a portfolio review at this time, please email fine.arts@okbu.edu for registration including your name, phone number, number of guests, and program of interest.

Q: If I have already done an audition/portfolio review for an OBU Scholarship, do I need to do another one?
A: No. Only one is needed. Please email fine.arts@okbu.edu if you plan to attend FAME and include your name, phone number, number of guests, and area of interest.

Q: My college plans are still undecided.  Do I have to make a commitment to attend OBU if I attend this event?
A: No. FAME is an event to provide more information about the OBU and the Fine Arts experience. Many who attend are still considering which college they will attend.

Q: When will I learn about any scholarship from my audition/portfolio review, along with the rest of my financial package?
A: You should receive a letter approximately 3-4 weeks after FAME when your OBU application, FAFSA, Division of Music, Art, or Theatre application, and other required documents have been received and your audition/portfolio review is completed.   

Q: Can I attend other classes or activities not on the event schedule for FAME or tour other parts of the campus?
A: Please follow the FAME schedule for the duration of the event.  However, with planning through an Admissions counselor, you may attend other classes or activities Monday afternoon.
