Party Rentals

The OBU Recreation and Wellness Center provides the opportunity for outside groups to rent specific activity areas for parties, events, or social functions. A party may be scheduled for a two-hour time block for the Pool, Climbing Wall, or Courts. The party and event room fee will be required at the time of scheduling. One half of the fee(s) will be refundable if the party needs to be cancelled two weeks prior to the scheduled party date.

We will provide waivers for your party. Waivers are required to all active party participants. If more are needed, please click below to print:

Assumption of Risk Forms

Pool Party

Small Group Rate (20 participants or less) = $50.00
Large Group Rate (21 participants or more) = $80.00

Climbing Wall Party

The minimum age to climb with a top rope is age 10, while children must be at least age 6 to boulder with an adult spotting partner.

Top Rope Climbing Area Party

Small Group Rate (3-10 climbers, 2 Rope Maximum) = $60.00
Large Group Rate (11-20 climbers, 3 Rope Maximum) = $80.00

Bouldering Area Party (no ropes)

Small Group Rate (3-10 climbers) = $40.00
Large Group Rate (11-20 climbers) = $60.00

Basketball/Volleyball Court Party

Court Party 2-hour rate (maximum 50 participants) = $50.00

Combination Party

More than one activity area may be reserved for a party at the following add-on rates.

Court Add-on Rate (maximum 50 participants) = $20.00
Swimming Pool (maximum 30 swimmers) = $30.00
Climbing Wall (maximum 20 climbers) = $40.00
Event Room

The Event Room provides tables, chairs, and a small kitchen with sink, refigerator, ice machine and microwave. (Groups provide their own food, beverages, and paper goods.)

Event Room (during 2 hour party) = $10.00
Each additional rental hour = $15.00

Outside Group Rentals

Basketball/Volleyball Courts (Maximum 2 courts rented at a time)

Court Rental Rate (per hour per court) = $40.00

Pool Complex

  • 20 or less swimmers = $20.00 per hour
  • 21 - 40 swimmers = $30.00 per hour
  • 41 or more swimmers = $40.00 per hour

Climbing Wall

The minimum age to climb with a top rope is age 10, while children must be at least age 6 to boulder with an adult spotting partner. Minimum age to belay is age 16.

Maximum Group Size = 20 Climbers

Top Rope Climbing Area = $40.00 per hour
Bouldering Area (no ropes) = $30.00 per hour
Racquetball/Wallyball Courts (Maximum 2 courts rented at a time)

Court Rental Rate (per hour per court) = $15.00

Fitness Studio

Fitness Studio = $20.00 per hour

Event Room

Sand Volleyball Courts

Sand Courts (per hour per court) = $30.00

Combination Events

Groups may combine multiple areas for special events. Please ask for a combination rental rate quote based on your group's needs.

PLEASE NOTE:

Waivers
All participants age 18 and older will be required to sign a waiver before participating in activity. Participants under the age of 18 will need their parent or guardian to complete a "Minor" waiver.
 
Chaperons
Due to safety reasons, OBU requires one adult chaperon (age 18 or older) for every 10 children participants (10:1 ratio). If this ratio cannot be met, the RAWC will provide additional supervision for $10.00 per chaperon for the two-hour time block.
 
On-Going Activity Rentals
Non OBU groups may rent Recreation and Wellness Center facilities a maximum of two times per month, unless prior arrangements are made.
 
Discounts
Non-profit groups will receive a 25% discount on group rentals. OBU Employees or Students who represent outside groups will receive a 10% discount on group rentals.
 
Operating Hours
Any party or event scheduled before or after the normal operating hours of the center will be charged an additional $50.00 per hour.
