Integrating faith and learning
OBU is a small, Christian liberal arts university, which emphasizes academic, spiritual and social growth for both the betterment of the student-and the world at large. We have been Oklahoma's highest rated college in the U.S. News & World Report rankings as “Best Regional Colleges” for the 18th consecutive year.
Our goal is two-fold: To help individual students discover and refine their talents and to encourage them to put their gifts to work for God's purposes.
We encourage you to connect with our special community. Our lovely campus is located in Shawnee, Okla., a quiet city just 30 minutes away from Oklahoma City-a major urban center with access to internships and cultural events.
Please use this web site to discover more about OBU. And schedule a visit, so we can meet with you personally.
Follow OBU's Welcome Week activities on our Facebook page. Photos from the week will be posted each day, starting Saturday, August 18. This is a great way to catch some of the spirit of our orientation week.
