Activities

College Players produces at least two shows per year in conjunction with OBU's theatre department. Past productions include: "All in the Timing," "The Real Inspector Hound" and "Company of Wayward Saints." Each spring semester College Players hosts "CP: A Night of Variety."

The organization also assists the theatre department with productions in the areas of costuming, lighting and set design, stage managing, box office managing and even acting.

At the end of each academic year College Players hosts "The Dorland Awards." The award ceremony mirrors the Oscars honoring Best Actor/Actress in an OBU production, Best New Talent and Most Valuable College Player.

Membership Information

College Players rushes each fall semester. Information about open rush is available at Un Cuerpo during Welcome Week. Those interested in joining College Players are encouraged to attend open rush -- which is typically a costume party. After open rush, those still interested in joining are invited to a closed rush.

If the organization deems individuals interested in membership as viable candidates who can help further the passion for theatre on campus, the individuals are invited to pledge for membership.
