Freshmen to Perform ‘Foul Play Follies’ Oct. 8

OBU’s Campus Activities Board is preparing to host its second student variety show, “Foul Play Follies.” The show will conclude Family Day on Saturday, Oct. 8, and will highlight performances by students from the freshman class. The festivities begin at 8 p.m. in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium. The public is welcome to attend the free event.

Lexi Faught, a senior from Edmond, Okla., and Jon Livingston, a senior from Bixby, Okla., are directing Freshman Follies this year.

“My co-director and I discussed many different theme ideas,” Faught said. “This was one of our favorites. We felt this theme was broad enough to be able to explore many different arenas and allow us to get creative.”

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) held auditions for the emcees and acts for the show last week. The members of CAB and other Freshman Follies participants are using the evenings leading up to the show to rehearse and make stage preparations for the show.

The emcees for “Foul Play Follies” are Casie Smith from Conroe, Texas; Nicolas Scarinzi from Sao Jose Dos, Calif.; Trey Green from Shawnee, Okla.; Blair Rogers from Claremore, Okla.; and Birdie Netz from Sallisaw, Okla.

The acts include Keaton Nye from Shawnee, Okla.; Emily Elkins from Tulsa, Okla.; Zach and Bax; Micah Keeney and the Taquitos; Alisha Courtney from Yukon, Okla.; and Whitney Keithley from Bentonville, Ark.
