OBU student Courtney Bryant will perform her junior recital Tuesday, May 3, at 8:30 p.m. in Yarborough Auditorium in Raley Chapel on the OBU campus. The community is invited to attend.
Bryant, a soprano from Moore, Okla., is the daughter of Brad and Kelly Bryant. She is from the studio of Dr. Louima Lilite, assistant professor of music.
She is involved in Sigma Alpha Iota, the Bisonette Glee Club and OBU’s University Chorale, where she serves as co-president and historian. She also portrayed Marcellina in OBU’s production of “The Marriage of Figaro.” After graduation, she plans to pursue a graduate degree in vocal performance and pedagogy.
The recital will include works by Alessandro Scarlatti, Giacomo Puccini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert, Aaron Copland and Francis Poulenc.
Bryant will be assisted on the piano by Dr. Carol Ann Bell, retired associate professor of music at OBU.
The audience is invited to a reception in Raley Chapel room 142 immediately following the recital.
