Melton Joins Graduate School Staff

Lana Melton has joined the OBU Graduate School as an administrative assistant. She joined the staff on March 21.
Melton recently served as a family care specialist for Hope Pregnancy Center-South in Oklahoma City. She also has served as preschool and children’s ministry associate at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City where she is a member and where her husband, Douglas Melton, serves as senior pastor. She previously worked as administrative assistant to the senior pastor at Southern Hills; as a substitute and homebound teacher for Moore Public Schools; and as preschool and children’s director at First Baptist Church in Seminole, Okla.
She is a 1982 graduate of Seminole High School and a 1986 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University.
The Meltons have four sons: Drew is a 2010 OBU graduate; Zachary is a junior at OBU; Brandon is a freshman at OBU; and Samuel is a freshman at Christian Heritage Academy.
The OBU Graduate School, located at 111 N. Harrison in downtown Oklahoma City, offers two programs: the master of business administration degree and the master of science in nursing education degree.
