‘Centennial Books’ Homecoming Special

In celebration of its Centennial Homecoming festivities, OBU is offering the OBU Centennial Books collection in two specially priced packages for a limited time.

The special book packages may be purchased online until Nov. 19 or on campus during the Homecoming celebration Nov. 12-13.

The first package includes all six OBU Centennial Books for $100 (plus tax), a 20 percent savings off the list price. Books in the package include:

  • "Finish: Oklahoma Baptist University 2009-10 Championship Basketball Season" (published 2010; $22.00 list)
  • "Proudly Stand on Bison Hill: A Pictorial History of Oklahoma Baptist University,1910-2010" (published 2010; $35.00 list)
  • "Bison Bon Appétit: A Century of Cooking on Bison Hill 1910-2010" (published 2009; $15.00 list)
  • "Glory Shakes the Ground: Written Prayers of James E. Hurley" (published 2008; $12.95 list)
  • "OBU Hoops: A History of Oklahoma Baptist University Bison and Lady Bison Basketball 1911-2007" (published 2007: $20.00 list)
  • "The Glory Years of Bison Basketball: Oklahoma Baptist University 1964-65, 1965-66, and 1966-67 Seasons" (published 2004: $20.00 list)

The regular list price for all six books is $124.95 (plus sales tax), but they will be available for purchase at Homecoming festivities as a package for $100.00 (plus sales tax). If purchased on campus, with 8.5 percent sales tax, the total cost is $108.50. If purchased by mail order in Oklahoma, with $17 shipping and 8.5 percent sales tax, the total cost is $125.50. If purchased by mail order from outside Oklahoma, no tax applies, so the total cost is $117.00.

The second special package includes the three Centennial Basketball books for $50 (plus tax), a 24 percent savings off the list price. Books in the package include:
  • "Finish: Oklahoma Baptist University 2009-10 Championship Basketball Season" (published 2010; $22.00 list)
  • "OBU Hoops: A History of Oklahoma Baptist University Bison and Lady Bison Basketball 1911-2007" (published 2007: $20.00 list)
  • "The Glory Years of Bison Basketball: Oklahoma Baptist University 1964-65, 1965-66, and 1966-67 Seasons" (published 2004: $20.00 list)

The regular list price for all six books is $62 (plus sales tax), but they will be available for purchase at Homecoming festivities as a package for $50.00 (plus sales tax). If purchased on campus, with 8.5 percent sales tax, the total cost is $54.25. If purchased by mail order in Oklahoma, with $9 shipping and 8.5 percent sales tax, the total cost is $63.25. If purchased by mail order from outside Oklahoma, no tax applies, so the total cost is $59.
