Bison Hill Welcomes New Staff

Several staff members have joined the OBU community recently, with other staff making internal moves to new roles on campus.

Jon Fuller joined the staff as a programmer/analyst on Sept. 27. Fuller earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The programmers/analysts at OBU provide support for various IT software systems and the staff using those systems. They also develop, debug and document software and support interfaces for various Web-based software needs.

Nola Moseley is the secretary for the Joe L. Ingram School of Christian Service, starting Oct. 1. She attended OBU from 1974-76, and Oklahoma City Community College from 1990-92. She will support the faculty of the School of Christian Service, whose mission is to promote the intellectual and spiritual development of OBU students through the classical disciplines of religion and philosophy as well as the applied disciplines of Christian ministry, all within the context of OBU's liberal arts curriculum.

Joy Norman is a part-time instructor in OBU's Intensive English Program, starting Sept. 20. Norman earned a bachelor's degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, with additional study through Texas A&M University. OBU's Intensive English Program instructs non-native speakers of English in American collegiate English and daily conversation, in addition to assisting in university and American cultural adaptation.

Joining OBU's Recreation and Wellness Center staff are Ashley Pelter, part-time RAWC facility assistant, and Pam Cook, part-time RAWC group fitness instructor, who both started Sept. 10.

Richard Smith is a residence facility officer for Howard Residence Center, starting at OBU Aug. 29. Residence facility officers are non-commissioned safety personnel who provide basic safety services to students residing in OBU housing.

Several existing OBU staff also recently made changes or transitions. Holly Hays, resident director of WMU Dormitory, added the responsibility of assistant director of student activities on Sept. 1.

Julia Pope is moving to the post of Academic Center assistant from the post of Admissions application coordinator, effective Oct. 25.

Adam Ray is transitioning to network systems technician from computer lab/help desk supervisor, effective Oct. 25.
