Lauri Fluke, who has served as controller at OBU since 2004, recently was promoted to the role of assistant vice president for finance and administrative services.
She supervises the controller and a reorganized controller's office. She also supervises contracted services in food service, custodial service, the OBU bookstore and the mail/copy center.
"Lauri Fluke is a valued employee that has offered exceptional service to the university as controller," said Randy Smith, executive vice president for business and administrative services. "I expect that she will bring the same high level of commitment and intelligence to the position of assistant vice president for finance and administrative services."
Also in OBU's business office, Dandi Pruiett has changed titles from assistant controller to bursar. In this role, she supervises accounts receivable and student loans. Deborah O'Gwynn, accounting manager, has added the responsibilities of accounts payable in addition to continuing to supervise the cashiers.
Fluke earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from OBU, and she is a Certified Public Accountant. She joined the OBU staff in January 2003 as director of business affairs and assumed the role of controller in December 2004.
She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. She also serves as vice-chairman of the Shawnee Housing Authority Board.
Fluke is married to Steve Fluke, who works for Shawnee Public Schools. She has three daughters: Taylor, Alyssa and Brooklyn. They are active members of Immanuel Baptist Church, where Fluke teaches Sunday School. She also is involved in the Shawnee High School Basketball Booster Club and SHS Volleyball Booster Club.
