OBU offices will open at noon on Thursday, March 5. All morning classes are cancelled. Afternoon classes will follow normal schedule beginning at noon. The RAWC will open at noon also.

Second Centennial Convocation to Open Academic Year

Signaling the start of the 2010-11 academic year, the OBU community will continue its anniversary celebration with its second Centennial Convocation Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium. The first Centennial Convocation of OBU’s 18-month anniversary celebration was in September 2009.

Dr. David Whitlock, president of OBU, will present the address during the event. He will challenge OBU students to explore life’s hard questions and fully engage in diligent study and work while remaining faithful to God’s Word.

Faculty will dress in traditional academic regalia, and new faculty and staff will be introduced. The Convocation will include an OBU Centennial Moment video and OBU’s Centennial anthem, “Grow in Grace,” with words by W. P. Blake, music by Donna Butler Douglas and orchestration by Dr. C. L. Bass.
