Professionals to Present Acclaimed ‘Yours, Isabel’

Launching OBU Theatre's 2010-11 season, guest artists and alums Christy Hall and Rex Daugherty, and special guest actor Matt Lutz, will present the award-winning play "Yours, Isabel" in an exclusive regional release at OBU Thursday, Sept. 2, and Friday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Craig-Dorland Theatre in Shawnee Hall. The community is invited to attend.

"Yours, Isabel" was last seen in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. The play, produced on Bison Hill by critically acclaimed professionals, will soon open in New York City.

"In helping to celebrate OBU's Centennial, OBU Theatre is honored and thrilled to have coming to campus this exclusive workshop production of ‘Yours, Isabel'," said Laura Byland, associate professor and director of theatre. "We hope you can join us in the theatre as we celebrate the work of our distinguished alums."

"Yours, Isabel" conveys two young lovers, Isabel and Nick, who are shaken and separated by World War II and yet retain an extraordinary closeness through a series of written letters. The play is inspired by actual letters written during the war.
