Bryant to Present Recital April 8

Oklahoma Baptist University student Courtney Jordan Bryant will present her senior recital Thursday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium. The public is invited to attend the free performance.

Bryant, a sophomore soprano, will be assisted on the piano by OBU student Monetta Thompson, a senior piano performance major. Bryant is from the studio of Dr. Louima Lilite, OBU assistant professor of voice in the School of Fine Arts.

The recital will include works from composers such as Mozart, Donaudy, Puccini, Poulenc, Saint-Saëns and Myers, as well as arrangements by Althouse, Knowles and Hayes.

A music major with voice emphasis from Moore, Okla., Bryant is the daughter of Brad and Kelly Bryant. She has been involved in the University Chorale, Alpha Eta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, and Bisonettes. She has held the office of historian for the University Chorale.

Bryant is a recipient of the 2009 Betty Ruth Davis Memorial Scholarship. Following graduation, she plans to continue her studies in a graduate program.

The audience is invited to a reception in the Raley Chapel Room 142 following the recital.
