Argo, Tice to Present Recital March 29

Oklahoma Baptist University students Melissa Argo and Courtney Tice will present a recital Monday, March 29, at 7 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium. The public is invited to attend this free performance.

Argo, a soprano from Gallup, N.M., will be presenting her senior recital. The recital partially fulfills the requirements for the bachelor of vocal music education degree. She is from the studio of Dr. Jennifer McQuade, OBU assistant professor of music.

Argo is the daughter of Todd and Natalia Argo. During her time on Bison Hill, she has been included on the President's Honor Roll, Dean's Honor Roll and as a Concerto-Aria Concert finalist. She is involved in Bisonette Glee Club, Anna's Prayer and The National Association for Music Education.

Tice, a mezzo-soprano from Oologah, Okla., will be presenting her senior recital. The recital partially fulfills the requirements for the bachelor of music education degree with voice emphasis. Tice is also from the studio of Dr. McQuade.

Tice is the daughter of Don and Brenda Tice. She has been included on OBU's President's Honor Roll and Dean's Honor Roll. She is involved in Campus Activities Board, David's Creed, Bisonette Glee Club, The National Association for Music Education and Fellowship of Church Musicians.

The performers will be assisted on the piano by Dr. Keith Whitmore, OBU assistant professor of music. OBU student Justin Lee will assist singing baritone.

The program will include works by composers from the 1600's through modern day including Purcell, Mozart, Respighi, Wolf, Schubert, Faure, Poulenc, Puccini, Strauss and Brown.

The audience is invited to a reception in the student lounge following the recital.
