Womack, a percussionist, will be assisted on the piano by Michael Dean, OBU assistant professor of music; on the flute by Valerie Hunt, an OBU senior from Peoria, Ariz.; and by the Bison Jazz Messengers. The Messengers are comprised of OBU students David Giaco on trombone, Kade Goforth on trumpet, Ian Hockett on bass and Malerie Nelson on piano.
A musical arts major from Oklahoma City, Womack is the son of Charles and Bernice Womack and the husband of Nicole Womack. He has been involved in the OBU Symphonic Band, Bison Jazz Orchestra, Bison Jazz Messengers and the OBU-Shawnee Community Orchestra. He is a recipient of the Stith Memorial Music Scholarship.
Womack is from the studio of Josh Knight, an OBU adjunct professor of percussion. Following graduation, Womack plans to pursue a degree in performance and teach at the university level.
