OBU to Host BCM Basketball Tournament

Baptist Collegiate Ministries basketball teams from across Oklahoma will converge at Oklahoma Baptist University for the annual state tournament March 26-27, to compete for the title of Oklahoma BCM Basketball Champions. This is the second year OBU has hosted the tournament.

Members of Eastern Oklahoma State College's Baptist Collegiate Ministries basketball team celebrate their victory in the 2009 statewide BCM tournament. The 2010 tournament, hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University, is slated for March 26-27.

"We are pleased to host the 2010 BCM Tournament," said Dale Griffin, OBU dean of spiritual life. "Last year, the BCM Tournament was set for the last weekend in March. However, the action did not begin until April due to inclement weather at the end of March. Panhandle State tried to beat the storm and wound up being cut off from the Panhandle because of the storm. They made the trip safely to Shawnee, and were gladly welcomed into the Facilities of Newalla Baptist Church to wait out the storm."

Tournament games will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, March 26, and at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27. Players will participate in a worship service Friday at 11 p.m. in the Mabee Suite in OBU's Noble Complex.

Deadline for entry is Friday, March 12. For more information, click here.
