Oklahoma Baptist University recently announced the addition of a new counselor, Josh Trimble, who joined the staff Feb. 1.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Trimble will serve prospective OBU students in the eastern portion of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, primarily Fort Worth and Tarrant County.
Trimble earned a bachelor's degree in public relations from Southwest Baptist University where he is pursuing a master's degree. He and his wife, Gretchen, will reside in Shawnee.
"Josh brings strong people skills and a unique personal story to our team," said Bruce Perkins, director of OBU admissions. "He grew up without the advantages enjoyed by many and became the first in his family to attend college.
"As a leader of the prospective students, he will be a great encourager to students who have never considered college as a part of their future," Perkins said. "He has a passion for Christian higher education and enthusiasm for life."
