OBU Wellness Center Presents Tobacco Issues Seminar

Oklahoma Baptist University's Recreation and Wellness Center (RAWC) staff hopes to promote healthy lifestyles by presenting monthly wellness seminars pertinent to personal health. November's topic will be "Tobacco Issues." The seminar is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. in the RAWC events room. The public is invited to attend.

The seminar will be taught by Kerri Foster, Recreation and Wellness Center assistant director. Foster will discuss several related topics during the seminar including the effects of smoking on the body, second-hand smoke, and other risks and side effects. The Wellness Center also will have literature available about quitting smoking and helping others quit.

Other seminars presented by the Wellness Center this year will include: Realistic Resolutions, Exercise 101, Healthy Hearts, Nifty Nutrition, Walking for Wellness and Chill Out: Stress Management Tips. For more information about the RAWC, go online to www.okbu.edu/wellness.
