Sixteen new staff members recently joined Oklahoma Baptist University. The new staff will work in a variety of positions including secretaries, dorm directors and a missionary in residence.
Tonya Johnson is the new secretary of the Division of Language and Literature. Johnson is a Shawnee native and attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Johnson will be pursuing a degree in accounting while working at OBU.
Mary White is secretary to the Dean of Enrollment. White earned a bachelor's degree in education from Michigan State University in Lansing.
Kathy Mouser is secretary for the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Mouser earned a bachelor's degree in management from OBU.
Kristie Cobb joined the staff as a technical services assistant. Cobb earned an associate's degree in science from Seminole State College in Seminole, Okla. Cobb resides in Bethel Acres.
Shelly Everett is a new data entry clerk and cashier. Everett attended East Central University in Ada, Okla.
Linda Perkins joined OBU as an instructor in the Intensive English Program. Perkins graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton with a bachelor's degree in education.
Dayla Rowland, a senior psychology pre-counseling major, joined the OBU staff as the assistant residence director of Kerr and Howard dorms. Rowland is from Chelsea, Okla.
Julie Meyers will be working on Bison Hill as a staff assistant in the Geiger Center. Meyers attended OBU and recently was married.
Keith Grimaud joins Bison Hill as the missionary-in-residence. Grimaud attended Georgia State University in Atlanta where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration. In 1997 he received his master of divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ken., where he currently is pursuing his doctorate.
Other new staff include campus safety officers Jeffery Wiseman and Houston Wolfe; graduate assistants Bryan Tapley, Kortney Smith and Josiah White; Cameron Crane, faculty assistant in the Recreation and Wellness Center; and Chad Kiker, carpenter in Facilities Management and Services.
