Hurn Named Pitcher of the Week
Three baseball players from three different schools earned Sooner Athletic Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week honors for April 21-27.

Doug Hurn of Oklahoma Baptist and Trevor Stringer of Wayland Baptist are co-Pitchers of the Week, while Blake Kelley of Rogers State is the Player of the Week.

Hurn, a senior from Sparks, Nev., had a perfect earned run average in 14 innings of work, going 1-0 with 14 strikeouts, three walks and eight hits. He picked up a win over St. Gregory's and tossed seven innings of shutout relief against Bacone - both OBU wins.

Stringer, a freshman from Lubbock, Texas, accomplished what no other SAC pitcher has done this season- beat top-ranked Lubbock Christian. Stringer pitched 8.2 innings, fanning 11, while scattering nine hits in a 7-1 Wayland Baptist win - ending a string of 11 games in which LCU had scored nine or more runs.

Kelley, a sophomore shortstop from Oologah, Okla., batted. 529 (9-17) with a 1.294 slugging percentage in RSU's 5-1 week. He had four home runs and a double to go with 11 RBI and 12 runs.
