Oklahoma Baptist University

Art Gallery Features Students' Works

Senior art student Alisha Wallace will display her senior art exhibition in Oklahoma Baptist University's Art Gallery, March 14-31. A gallery reception will be Friday, March 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the OBU Art Building.

Wallace's exhibition, "Molders of Dreams," contains pieces integrating subjects such as science and history.

"To me, art is a way to further explore many subjects," said Wallace. "It is a point of integration where true learning and understanding can be promoted."

The Sparks, Okla. resident also hopes to portray the knowledge and ideas that the OBU art department has taught her over the last four years in her art.

"I learned to be creative. Go outside what you are comfortable working with," said Wallace.

The art exhibit fulfills part of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in art.

The schedule of senior art students' exhibitions include:

April 1-12: Megan Jones

April 13-24: Susanna Green

April 24-May 6: Michael Elizondo

May 7-16: Lauren Aycock
