Oklahoma Baptist University has signed Madill High School standout Heather Dugan for the 2008-09 track and cross country seasons.

Dugan, the daughter of Curtis and Lesli Dugan, will compete in cross country and in the 800, 1600 and 4x800 at OBU.

She is a two-time All-State in cross country, helping Madill to three championships and the runner-up spot in 2004. Dugan was the runner-up in the 1600 meters in 2006 and state runner-up in the 3200 relay in 2007.

Dugan also does well in the classroom, earning National Honor Society status.

"The atmosphere at OBU is very appealing to me because of my faith in God," Dugan said. "I believe that my attendance at OBU will help my future not only in my career status, but my everyday life as well."
