Bison Lose in Quarterfinals
Oklahoma Baptist nearly overcame foul trouble but couldn't escape Rogers State in the Sooner Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament Thursday, 71-67.

Brent Jones scored 31 points but the heroics were lost thanks to the foul situation, which contributed to Rogers State's 46-24 rebounding edge.

The Bison had one lead in the game, 55-54, with 8:24 left in the game. OBU had trailed by as many as 12.

Rogers State, not known for their free throw prowess, hit enough to keep the Bison at bay.

OBU, now 22-9, will play in the National Tournament, which starts March 19 in Kansas City.
