Bison Lose at SNU

A two-point game at halftime turned into a rout as Southern Nazarene kept the defensive pressure on Oklahoma Baptist for a 67-48 win in Bethany Saturday.

Milorad Damajanc had 22 points, 14 rebounds and made life difficult in the middle for the OBU offense.

“They clogged things up inside pretty much,” said Doug Tolin, OBU head coach. “Milorad Damjanac got after us. He was more than we could handle tonight.”

Both offenses were overcome by the defenses in the first half, as ttested to the 25-23 SNU lead at the half.

The Crimson Storm opened the second half with a 16-4 run for a 41-27 lead less than six minutes in and had the game in hand from there.

OBU had just one double-figure scorer in the game – Brian Hill with 10.

The Bison now need to come up big in the last three games to get a first-round bye in the SAC Tournament. OBU dropped into a three-way tie for fourth in the SAC standings with the loss.
