Noted Pianist to Perform Guest Recital Oct. 23

Dr. Jeongwon Ham

Pianist Jeongwon Ham will present a guest recital Tuesday, October 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Oklahoma Baptist University’s Yarborough Auditorium.

Dr. Ham graduated with distinction from the Folkwant Hochschule fur Musik in Essen and the Hochschule der Kunste in Berlin. She earned her doctor of musical arts degree from the University of Kansas. Ham currently is associate professor of piano at the University of Oklahoma.

Ham has won numerous piano competitions, including the Bartok/Kabalesky International Piano Competition, the Epinal International Competition, the Paul Hindemith Piano Competition, and the Simone Belsky Piano Competition.

She also has performed in France, Germany, and Korea. Recently she was invited to be the artist-in-residence at the Renmin University in Beijing, China.

Upcoming engagements include recitals in Germany and a performance with the International Double Reed Society in Ithaca, N.Y.
