Oklahoma Baptist University’s Bison basketball team picked up a National Tournament win Tuesday.
OBU athletic director Norris Russell was notified Tuesday that Robert Morris College, which eliminated the Bison in the second round of the NAIA Tournament last season, used ineligible athletes.
Robert Morris defeated OBU 86-76 in overtime and advanced on to the semifinals before losing a quadruple overtime contest to Concordia. Concordia lost the next night to Oklahoma City in the championship, 79-71.
The forfeit gives OBU a 22-10 record for the 2006-07 season and forwards the team into the NAIA quarterfinals.
