Students from across Oklahoma are invited to participate in Oklahoma Baptist University’s 2006 All-State and All-OCDA choral workshops July 20-22 on the OBU campus in Shawnee.

The workshops are designed to help students learn the selected music and prepare for fall 2006 auditions. The format includes rehearsals with OBU faculty, a session on audition techniques, a student talent show, and special topics sessions for teachers. Private voice lessons with OBU faculty also are available.
The high school workshop will focus on preparation for the Oklahoma Music Educators Association All-State Chorus. The junior high school workshop will focus on the All-Oklahoma Choral Directors Association Chorus.
The workshops begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 20, and conclude at noon on Saturday, July 22. Students are supervised by OBU personnel throughout the workshops.
Cost for registration, housing, meals and a workshop t-shirt is $100 per student. Commuter registration is $50, and includes a t-shirt and all meals except breakfast. Teacher registration is $60, which includes housing, meals and a t-shirt. Additional voice lessons are $12 per student.
