The president of Kanakuk-Kanakomo Kamps, Inc., and founder of Kids Across America, Joe White, will deliver the chapel address at Oklahoma Baptist University, Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m. in the university's Noble Complex.
The summer youth camps headquartered in Branson, Mo., host 17,000 campers and 2,200 college-age and professional staff each summer.
White is author of 11 books, including "Faith Training," and "Pure Excitement," which won the Gold Medallion Teen Book of the Year for 1997. He is a noted speaker on family and teen issues and has spoken for such noted events as James Dobson's Focus on the Family, Promise Keepers, and Life on the Edge parent and teen conferences. He is the co-host of a national radio talk show for teens, "Life on the Edge Live."
He also speaks regularly at NFL football and professional baseball chapels.
He and his wife, Debbie Jo, have four children, Jamie-Jo, Courtney, Brady and Cooper.
