Work Continues In Potter Auditorium

As the fall semester began at OBU Aug. 23, workers continued to complete renovations in Potter Auditorium, the University's main convocation center.

The auditorium, in John Wesley Raley Chapel, has been closed for refurbishing and major renovations since the end of the spring 2000 semester. The improvements include reconstruction of the stage area, new sound and lighting equipment, refurbished seating, and painting of most of the interior walls. In addition, the auditorium's organ console is being rebuilt, and a new projection system will be installed.

On Friday, Aug. 25, workers completed a major painting project, which features a new color scheme for the auditorium's walls and ceiling. Work will continue in September and October, as the project is scheduled for completion by Homecoming 2000, Nov. 10-11.
