Parents’ Day Coming Oct. 6

It has been just a little more than a month since OBU’s students arrived on campus for the start of the fall semester. That’s about enough time to get settled into dorm life and the routines of the academic year. Now its time for the students’ parents to pay a visit to see how the year is progressing. OBU’s Parents’ Day 2007 will be Saturday, October 6, on the campus.

“We want parents to come to campus and not only visit with their students, but meet professors and see what is happening on Bison Hill,” said Bobby Canty, OBU’s dean of students.

For parents, the day of activities begins with the opportunity to visit with students’ current professors. For younger siblings, Kids’ College will start at 11 a.m., offering special activities for children ages 6-12.

An afternoon worship service also will include time to visit with OBU administrators.

The day concludes with the annual Freshman Follies student talent show in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium. For more details, please call the OBU Student Development Office at 405.878.2406.
