“Kredit” for Kanakuk “Kounselors”

Kinesiology and Leisure Studies 2903, Camp Administration, is a three-hour-credit course which considers methodology and practical aspects of planning and administering summer youth and sports camp programs. The student will deal with the theories applicable to camp administration.

Kinesiology and Leisure Studies 2079, Practicum: Camp Administration, is a one-, two-, three-, or four-credit-hour course. It is a supervised freshman/sophomore level practicum in Camp Administration, providing practical experience under competent professional supervision.

Kinesiology and Leisure Studies 4789, Internship: Camp Administration, can be taken for one to six credit hours. It is a supervised junior/senior level field education in Camp Administration, providing practical experience under competent professional supervision.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Courses will be completed in 25-day sessions which coincide with Kanakuk Kamp sessions. Counselors may take one or multiple courses in a session.

Session One:
June 1-25
Session Two: June 25-July 19
Session Three: July 19-August 12

COST: $368 per credit hour. (Three-hour course cost is $1,104.)
