Dr. Robbie Henson, RN
Dr. Robbie Henson has clinical experience in a wide range of specialties including medical-surgical nursing, intensive care nursing, and postpartum and labor and delivery nursing. In 1996, she received both the Oklahoma Nurse Educator of the Year award from the Oklahoma Nurses’ Association and the Promising Teacher Award from OBU. She has varied experience with neonatal nursing and has focused her research on the nurses' role in facilitating self and family care through mutual goal setting and retention of nurses in the acute care setting. Dr. Henson has published articles on such subjects as “Introducing new technology: Confusion or order?” and “Consumerism & Quality Management.” She is currently the sponsor for the Student Nurses’ Association at OBU and a member of the Long Range Planning Committee at First Baptist Church.
