Jody DeFehr
Jody DeFehr is the Director of Pastoral Care at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City and a Board Certified Chaplain with the Associate of Professional Chaplains. After graduating from seminary, Jody served as a pastor and associate pastor in congregations in Oklahoma for fourteen years before becoming a hospital chaplain. He began his hospital career at Integris Baptist Medical Center in 1992 and worked primarily with cancer and transplant patients there for over eight years. As the Director of Pastoral Care at ISMC, Jody is involved with numerous hospital committees including serving as the co-chair of the Human Values (Ethics) Committee while continuing to minister to patients and staff throughout the hospital.
Jody also serves on the state Organ Donation Education Awareness Program advisory board and has written an article on transplantation published in the UNOS Update.
Jody and his wife Ellen (OBU – 1975) have been married for 35 years and have 2 children and one delightful grandchild.
