About OBU

As a Christian liberal arts university, OBU transforms lives by equipping students to pursue academic excellence, integrate faith with all areas of knowledge, engage a diverse world, and live worthy of the high calling of God in Christ.

We have ten bachelor's degrees in 84 areas of study.

Two master's degrees, Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Nursing, offered at OBU Graduate School, 3800 N. May Avenue, Oklahoma City.

Our Purpose
OBU is an institution founded on Christian principles and teachings whose primary purpose is to conduct educational programs in the traditional arts and sciences and in other disciplines with the intent to prepare students for effective leadership and service in the various vocations.
 
The mission finds expression through a strong liberal arts core curriculum which supports degree programs designed to prepare students for careers and graduate study; through activities planned to stimulate spiritual, intellectual, social, cultural, and physical development; and through an environment that reflects the application of Christian principles and teachings.
 
National Recognition
 
OBU has been ranked as the only Oklahoma college or university on U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking of “A-Plus Schools for B Students” for Regional Colleges for 2013. OBU also was ranked on “Great Schools, Great Prices” for 2013. OBU has been listed as Oklahoma’s highest-ranked college in “Best Regional Colleges” for the 19th consecutive year and has made the news magazine’s “top 10” in its category for 21 consecutive years.

For the eighth consecutive year, OBU has been named one of the best colleges and universities in the western United States by The Princeton Review.

OBU consistently is ranked in the Forbes.com listing of "America's Best Colleges."

Registration Deadline:
Registration Forms must be received NO LATER than Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013. Due to space limitations, registration is on a first-come first-served basis. Your registration is complete when we have received both your online registration form and payment.
It is recommended that you register and send your payment as soon as possible. We will email a confirmation to you when we have received your payment.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be received in writing by Friday, October 18, 2013. No refunds will be given after October 18, 2013. Cancellations may be e-mailed to career.services@okbu.edu .
 
Driving directions
From Oklahoma City/Will Rogers Airport (West): Take 1-40 East to Shawnee. Exit Kickapoo St (Exit 185) and turn right (south). Go 1.7 miles to University Blvd and turn right.
From Ft. Smith (East): Take I-40 West To Shawnee. Exit Kickapoo St (Exit 185) and turn left (south). Go 1.7 miles to University Blvd and turn right.
From Tulsa: Take I-44 West. Exit Hwy 18/Chandler. Go south on Hwy 18 to Shawnee. Once in Shawnee, turn right on MacArthur. Turn left on Kickapoo. Turn right on to University Blvd.
From Ada/US 177: From 177, turn east on to MacArthur. Turn right onto Airport Road. Turn left onto University Blvd.

Airport
The nearest airport to the Shawnee area is the Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City (OKC).
 
Electrical outlet access
Electrical outlets are limited. Please indicate on your registration form if you will require an electrical outlet and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
 
Wireless internet access
We are pleased to be able to offer recruiters wireless internet access.
 
Unloading/loading fair materials
The Geiger Center is located just off University Street. The driveway to the building is in between WMU and Kerm dorms. Loading and unloading may take place at the south entrance to the building.
 
Parking information
Once you have unloaded your materials, please park in the lot off of MacArthur Street or in the parking lot near the Noble Complex.
 
Shipping materials
Recruiters are more than welcome to ship the materials if that is more convenient for your travels. Please be sure to ship any boxes so that they arrive by Tuesday, October 22nd.
