Oklahoma Baptist University is the only Christian group who is engaging the unreached Kai people of South Asia.

The Kai people are one of the largest 600 unengaged & unreached people groups, the total of which numbers over half a billion people. OBU “adopted” the Kai through a movement known as Finishing The Task. Finishing The Task is comprised of several mission organizations to engage these people where no present Christian witness exists. By adopting this people group, OBU and its Avery T. Willis Center for Global Outreach have committed to share the Gospel and plant churches among the Kai until at least the year 2025. One of our main prayers is for OBU graduates to live and work long-term among the Kai people.
Please pray for the Kai people:
“Heavenly Father…
· Let each one of them hear the story of Jesus at least once.
· Raise up more laborers from OBU to live among the Kai.
· Bring whole villages and families to salvation in Jesus.
· Free them from idolatry, evil spirits, and Satan’s power.
· Create churches that are pure, culturally relevant, and multiplicative.
· Increase their literacy and give them a hunger to understand and obey God’s written Word.
· Deepen the 200 known Kai Christians’ walks with God and motivate them to witness to others.
· Bless them with the provision of employment and use of waterways, using these resources to improve their communities and provide their daily bread
· Raise up believers among the Kai to lead other people groups in India, Bangladesh, and beyond to salvation.
…in Jesus’ Name, Amen.” |
