Major in Applied Ministry: Cross-Cultural/Orality Emphasis

Sixty percent of the people in the world have a problem: They are oral learners. Approximately 25% have a really big problem: They are illiterate in addition to being oral. Here's the problem. More than 99% of missions efforts are literate methods.

Chronological Bible Storying is an effective method in communicating the gospel to oral learners in such a way as to make a part of their heritage.

Through the assistance and leadership of Dr. Avery Willis, OBU will be first of the Southern Baptist undergraduate institutions to offer a full program in orality studies -- and one that is endorsed by the International Mission Board as well as EPIC Partners.
