He also served as Chairman of the Division of Church Music Ministries at NOBTS from 1997-2008.
A committed church musician, Dr. Gabrielse has served churches in Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Louisiana, in full-time, bi-vocational, and interim positions of music and pastoral leadership. The first church he served with on staff was his home church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Enid, OK, when he was 20. He continues to fill interim and fill-in positions around the state.
Dean Gabrielse is married to Jana Johnson Gabrielse –- a native of Enid, OK. They have been married since 1979 and have two grown and married children. They are also the proud grandparents of Adelaide (the most beautiful grandbaby in the world), born February, 2011. Ken and Jana live in Oklahoma City and are members at Quail Springs Baptist Church where they are very active in the music ministry. (Actually, Jana is very active; Ken is hit and miss –- but he’s always in church!)
