Why OBU:I came to OBU for a variety of reasons. One, it is a great school that provides a liberal arts education that not only provides the skills for your career but it teaches you how to think and how to learn. OBU also integrates faith and learning in a way that everything you learn allows you to glorify God in your calling. Another major aspect is the number of service and mission projects that you can get involved with, which was very important to me as a future missionary. The community at OBU is really the ideal of a college. It is unified; there are tons of organizations and social activities, intramurals and athletics; and yet studying and learning are the number one priority. As a freshman new to the campus, I really saw the upperclassmen reach out to us as new students, and not only welcome us but openly allow us to connect into OBU's community. The professors at OBU are very personal, and because of the small class sizes they have the freedom to help each individual student.
