Welcome Week 2012
From the moment you pull onto campus and a cadre of Tri-Ws (Welcome Week Workers) descends on your car and unloads all your earthly possessions and then carries them up untold numbers of steps and drops them off at your room and then they tell you over and over how glad they are you're here and your parents can't believe all this is happening and your dad is crying because someone else just carried that four hundred pound entertainment center up four flights of stairs and your mom is crying because ... well, moms just cry and you keep seeing more of these Tri-W people and, you can't quite explain it, but they actually genuinely seem to be really enjoying themselves and all of a sudden you find yourself getting caught up in it ... you'll know you're at a place that's more than just a great university ... you're home.
