WMU Memorial Dormitory
WMU:WMU Memorial Dormitory is one of the most historic residence halls on campus, although we like to refer to it as a Residence Center. It was constructed in 1928 by the Women's Missionary Union of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (they did not actually build it, but funded it). Since then the building has contained everything from a swimming pool, to soldiers, to the University Art Department. WMU is reserved specifically for freshmen women to enhance the first year experience. WMU is currently going through extensive renovation to prepare for the fall of 2009. WMU offers several styles of rooms including privates and double rooms.
