New Student Information

  1. The Friday after you get enrolled in classes, your logins will be active:
    • MoodleRooms Account
    • RMS Account
    • Blackboard Account
    • Language Lab
    • Email Address
      • Your email address will be in the form of "fname.lname@okbu.edu"
        • If there are two people with the same first and last name, both email addresses will change to "fname.lname##@okbu.edu" where ## is the last 2 numbers of your ID#.
        • Username: Email Address
        • Password: ID# + Last 4 of SSN

      • If you leave OBU, and need to keep your email, contact the Global Outreach office at 405.585.5700. (mission trip, study abroad, etc)

      • If you are not enrolled in classes by the last day to enroll for the current term, your account will expire and you won't be able to login.
      • (If you graduate in December then your account will expire in February. Then be deleted the following September.)
      • Your account will be deleted in September after your account has expired. However, we will keep your account active so long as you stay enrolled in classes. (undergrad and graduate)

  2. Once you arrive on campus, your FREE SOFTWARE will be available at our HelpDesk: (3rd floor of Thurmond Hall)
    • Microsoft Office (Mac and Windows versions available)
      • Only 1 copy (either/or) per student
    • MSDNAA software (inquire at our HelpDesk for more information)

-Your OBU e-mail provides powerful communication and collaboration tools for you to utilize. This is the official OBU communication method, please contact your professors using your OBU email account.

SS BANNER

-SS Banner allows you to register for courses, view your financial aid, apply for admission, look at grades, and see what holds you may have on your account.

  • Username: Banner ID#
  • Password: 6 digit birthdate (MMDDYY)
    • It requires you to change you password upon first successful login

MOODLEROOMS

-Moodlerooms is an online classroom environment. You will only have access if a professor has added you to his/her class.td>

BLACKBOARD

-Blackboard contains all the tools necessary to manage your Bison Express card, Meal Plans, and Chapel Attendance.

LANGUAGE LAB

-The Language Lab is designed to assist language students in practicing their skills.
