Vernon joins the Lady Bison out of Shawnee High School where she ran for four years on the varsity cross country squad.  She was a two-time State qualifier and was an All-Regional and All-Conference selection.  In addition to her running exploits, Vernon also lettered four years in soccer and was an All-State selection her senior season.  She is the daughter of James and Lisa Vernon.
