| OBU Men's Tennis History
Men's tennis at OBU is a long-standing tradition. The team won its first conference championship in 1929. In 1960, the men's team went to the NAIA tournament and tied for third place.
The Bison claimed numerous conference and District 9 titles through the years.
In 1983, David Foster won a school-record 19 matches and was MVP for the Bison.
OBU coaches through the years have included current athletic director Norris Russell and current dean of students Bobby Canty. Paul Duffield coached the Bison from 1966-73. Canty and Duffield are the winningest coaches in the program's history with 91 and 90 team wins, respectively. |
