Hawkins, who began her coaching career as graduate assistant for OBU, is now the assistant coach. Formerly Krista Doell, Hawkins twice received All-Conference and All-Region honors, and was Honorable Mention All-American in 2003 as the Lady Bison catcher. She was an All-Star catcher in the Canadian National Tournament and played at Vernon Regional College in Texas. Krista is married to former OBU basketball standout Adam Hawkins and they have one son, Caleb. She is the daughter of Stewart and Carol Doell.
