The Class of 1958 Golden Anniversary Reunion
Members of the Class of 1958 will celebrate their Golden Anniversary Reunion on Saturday, November 8. The celebration will be in the Mabee Suite of OBU's Noble Complex, overlooking the Mabee Arena basketball court. The Class of '58 also will be participating in other reunion events throughout the weekend which includes their production "Still Crazy After All These Years", Friday evening, Craig-Dorland Theatre.This is a free event, however, seating is limited. Please reserve your tickets.
Reunion luncheons and fellowships also will be celebrated for the Fifty-Year Club and the Classes of 1953, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, and 2003.
Homecoming Golf Tournament - Friday, November 7
Get together with alumni and friends (or maybe one of your former OBU professors) and form a team for the annual Homecoming golf tournament. The shotgun start for this four-person scramble begins at Noon at the Shawnee Country Club. Registration and driving range opens at 10:30 a.m. Lunch included. Click here for the registration form.
Friday Evening Harvest Dinner - 6 p.m.
Celebrate the presentation of our Alumni Achievement Awards, Graduate Of the Last Decade Award, and induction of new members into OBU's Athletic Hall of Fame during the Friday evening Harvest Dinner. Dr. Joe Mosley, '58, and Dr. David Sallee, '73, will receive the Alumni Association's highest honor, the Alumni Achievement Award. Dr. Branson Craig Stephens, '00, will be recognized as the recipient of the Graduate Of the Last Decade (GOLD) Alum of the Year Award, and the OBU Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducting three new members. Join your classmates and attend this annual celebration. It starts at 6 p.m. in the Geiger Center banquet rooms.
Dinner at the RAWC - Saturday, 5:30 p.m.
We are combining the old with the new. Following the basketball games, dinner will be in the newest facility on campus, the Recreation and Wellness Center. Come enjoy a dinner catered by Van's Pig Stand, a place that brings forth many fond memories for many alumni. Get a group of your classmates together and come enjoy dinner as you reminisce and have the opportunity to see the place where "new" memories are being made on Bison Hill.
Alumni Showcase-Saturday, 7:30 p.m.Don Blackley, '63 will be emceeing this annual event. Chuck King, '80, 2008 Profile In Excellence award recipient and recording artists Jamie Smith, '93, and Paul Langford, '88, will be performing. Paul will have several classmates and his wife joining him to perform. There will also be performances by Dr. Larry DeLay, '78; Becky Goodin Morrison, '88; Jennifer Peck, '03; and Thresa Swadley, '03. We are looking forward to a wonderful evening of entertainment.
