Test Scores

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

If English is not the official language of instruction in your country, please submit official results of the TOEFL directly from the corporation to OBU. Our institution code is 6541. A minimum score of 500 (or 173 on the computer-based test) is required, you may contact TOEFL at:

P.O. Box 6151
Princeton, NJ 08541-6151
Email: toefl@ets.org
Visit: http://www.toefl.org/

If your TOEFL score is too low, consider enrolling in OBU’s Intensive English Program (IEP). This campus-based program is designed to develop language skills which will help guarantee academic success when the student leaves the IEP and proceeds to University work. SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) OR ACT (American College Test)

If you do not send us a TOEFL score, you need to send either an SAT or an ACT score. The score must be sent by the testing agency directly to OBU. For SAT, our code is 6541—the same as the code for TOEFL. For ACT, our code is 3414.

For additional information about these exams, please consult the nearest American embassy or consulate. You may also go on-line at http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/reg.html for SAT and http://www.actstudent.org/index.html for ACT.

For unconditional admission, OBU expects an ACT score of 20 or a SAT score of 950.
