Management is part of the Paul Dickinson College of Business.

My degree options:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with an Area of Emphasis in Management

What makes an OBU Management degree special?

Students may focus on two areas of emphasis within the B.B.A. program (Computer Information Systems, International Business, Finance, Management, and Marketing). Students will take 15 credit hours of technology course work which will give them a competitive advantage when they graduate, where the typical B.B.A. program only requires 6 hours of technology course work. Outstanding students have the opportunity to apply for early admission into the OBU Graduate School MBA program which will allow them to begin the program during their senior year.

What are OBU grads doing with their Management degrees?

Many graduates go into management trainee programs at large corporations such as Wal-Mart, Cintas, Walgreens, or Barnes and Noble. Some assume positions in small or family owned businesses. Other graduates enter graduate programs such as MBA or Law.

What courses can I take?

Organizational Behavior, Production and Project Management, Human Resource Management, International Management, and Small Business Management (entrepreneurship) are the required specialized courses in management.

What do OBU Management faculty specialize in?

Project management, business technology, small business management, training, and human resource management.

Departmental extras:

Students can participate in Enterpreneurs in Action (Enactus), BSAC (Business Student Advisory Council), and Cooperative Work Experience which allows students to earn course credit while working. Students will write their resume and apply for a passport during one of their first business courses. Students are encouraged to participate in internships and travel internationally during their college careers.
