Minimum requirements for the baccalaureate degree are 128 semester hours of course work. All students complete a program of Common Core and Flex Core courses, and courses in an area of concentration, or major and minor courses, to bring the degree program to the minimum of 128 hours; some professional programs require more than this total number of hours. A minimum of 39 hours must be junior or senior level (courses numbered 3000-4999).
College of Science and Mathematics
The James E. Hurley College of Science and Mathematics is composed of four departments: biology, chemistry, mathematics, and natural science and physics. Degree programs offered within these departments prepare students for direct entry into a wide variety of careers. Many students also study in these disciplines as undergraduate liberal arts preparation for further graduate study in differing professions.
