Being able to connect biblical and theological truth with community and culture p rograms in pastoral ministry, missions, educational ministry, student ministry, children’s ministry and orality studies.

What are OBU grads doing with their Applied Ministry degrees?

Our graduates are leading student and children's ministry in some of the great churches of the state and nation, and are finding places of service at LifeWay and other agencies of our denomination.

The International Mission Board reports that more OBU graduates are serving as career missionaries and Journeymen than from any other Baptist college or university.

Chronological Bible Storying is a new and revolutionary approach to learning and teaching the Bible.

What do OBU Applied Ministry faculty specialize in?

Departmental extras:

Hands-On is a program through the International Mission Board that provides opportunities for students to do an entire semester of work overseas while doing missions. In addition, students can participate in any of 5-7 Global Outreach trips each year that can be done for 1 to 3 hours of practicum credit.
